POSITION

Aqualux must be installed in closed environments, protected from atmospheric agents and poor weather conditions. To prevent the water in the internal tank from overheating, position Aqualux in a shaded and cool area, away from windows or glass partitions and in any case, away from direct sunlight.

We recommend installing it near a 220V wall socket to allow for it to run on electric power, and to recharge the batteries.

POWER SUPPLY

Aqualux can be powered in three ways:
- electric power supply only, but where there is no power, the irrigation cycles will not run;

- with AA/HR6 1.2V NiMH rechargeable batteries minimum 2400 mAh, but where they run flat, the irrigation cycles will not run;

- connected to an electric power supply and with AA/HR6 1.2V NiMH rechargeable batteries minimum 2400 mAh, guaranteeing that the irrigation cycles run in the absence of one of the sources of power.

Warning: only use the specified type of rechargeable batteries.

FITTING THE BATTERIES

Use 1.2 V NiMH AA/HR6 rechargeable batteries only (of good quality, 2400mAh or above).

After inserting the batteries and power supply unit, or at the start of every new season, check that the timer charges the batteries sufficiently by turning the dial to OFF. Then continue with the required programming. Remove the batteries at the end of the season.

INSTALLATION

Position Aqualux System (warning: when the tank is full, it weighs approximately 33 kg) and connect the hose.

Position the pots (with dishes underneath), observing the specified heights.

Insert one or more stakes in each pot, depending on the number of drippers to be used, and cut the hose 2 cm from the stake.

Connect the drippers with the dispenser pointing downwards.
Note: the drippers are not adjustable.

Use the tees to create different branches.

Warning: once you have finished setting up the system, insert the end-of-line plug.

Turn the dial to OFF and fill the tank with clean water (max. 30 litres). Do not use any chemical substances or fertilisers. Remember to close the cover with the plug.

SELECTING THE WATERING PROGRAM

Aqualux System has 5 programmes (4+OFF), specially designed to allow independent operation for 7, 14, 21 or 28 days autonomy which can be selected using the programming selector switch on the front. The display switches on with the first click of the dial.
Always remember to press START to confirm your choice (including for OFF). If the chosen program is not confirmed by pressing START, after a few seconds it returns to the program previously set.
NOTE: Aqualux System irrigates once a day only.

IMMEDIATE IRRIGATION START

To select the required program, set the programming selector switch from OFF to the required position: 7, 14, 21 or 28 days and press START.

Regardless of the water level in the tank, provided that there is some water, Aqualux will deliver the same amount of water to your pots each day, according to the selected programme.

After the first start, subsequent irrigation cycles will run every 24 hours on the remaining days.

DELAYED IRRIGATION START

To select the desired program, turn the dial from OFF to the desired position: 7, 14, 21 or 28 days, and press START.

Press the START button again, as many times as the number of hours you wish to delay the start time by. The maximum delay that can be set is 23 hours.

The amount of time remaining before the irrigation cycle will start is shown on the screen. Once the cycle has started, the time remaining until the end of the cycle is shown.

At the end of the cycle, the time until the next irrigation cycle is shown.

TURNING OFF

If Aqualux System is not used for a certain period of time, switch it to OFF mode by turning the dial on the front panel and pressing START. When the device is in this mode, it will not dispense water. Remember to reactivate programming the first time you use it again.

CLEANING

Before being putting away at the end of the season, clean the filter located inside the tank and the drippers.

To clean the filter, lift up the Aqualux cover, detach the filter from the hose.

Rinse it under running water and refit it.

To clean the drippers, remove them from the system and unscrew the 4 components.

Rinse them all under running water.

UNBLOCKING THE PUMP (after long periods of inactivity)

Make sure that the batteries are charged and activate Aqualux by turning the dial to any programme (except OFF) and press START (this activates aspiration).

Remove the water filter. Then insert a syringe (without a needle) filled with water in the hose and inject the water inside. Repeat multiple times if necessary.

You should see the water coming out of the “OUT” nozzle. The pump is now unblocked.

Once complete, turn the timer to OFF and press START to confirm.

PERIODS OF INACTIVITY

At the end of the season, before putting Aqualux in storage, disconnect the power supply.

Remove the batteries.

Empty any remaining water and dry it out on the inside to prevent any mould from forming.

Rinse the stakes and the drippers that have been used.

Dismantle Aqualux and put the various components inside the base. Fold the tank down and rest the cover on top.

Store in a dry place, where the temperature does not fall below 3°C.
